NPC exchange

Turn a full Granary or Warehouse into the resources you actually need. Pick when to trade and how to split the result, and the bot uses the NPC merchant for you every time the village fills up.

Marketplace

Setting it up

The Marketplace tab of a village in Strigard: Enable automatic NPC exchange and Raiding village, a trigger of Crop at 95 %, and a target split of 30 % wood, 39 % clay, 30 % iron and 0 % crop.
Each village has its own NPC settings on the Marketplace tab.
  1. Open the village and go to the Marketplace tab.
  2. Under Trigger, pick the resource to watch and how full its storage has to be, from 5 to 100 %. Crop reaches 95 % is the usual one.
  3. Under Target distribution, type the share of each resource you want after the exchange.
  4. Tick Enable automatic NPC exchange. It won't tick until the trigger has a percentage.
The bot has to be running. The village also needs a Marketplace, and every exchange costs the usual 3 gold. Without them, the log says so and the bot tries again later.

How the split works

The percentages share out everything the village holds at that moment, as the NPC merchant does in the game. In the picture, a Granary at 95 % becomes roughly 30 % wood, 39 % clay and 30 % iron, and no crop.

  • Under 100 % is fine. What is left over is split equally among the three resources that are not the trigger. That is where the missing 1 % of the picture goes.
  • No resource overflows. Each one is capped at what its Warehouse or Granary can hold.
  • Keep the trigger resource low. If it would still be more than half full after the exchange, the bot doesn't trade, because the village would fill straight back up. The log tells you when that happens.

Raiding village

Most villages fill up from their own fields, at a pace the bot can work out. A village that lives on farm-list loot, trades or hero resources doesn't: its storage can jump at any moment.

Tick Raiding village on those, and the bot also opens the village every so often to see what it really holds. Leave it off everywhere else: the village is already opened whenever the bot builds or trains there.

Good to know

  • Builds waiting for resources go ahead. Once an exchange covers the next level in the build queue, the bot starts it without waiting any longer.
  • Never twice in a row. After an exchange, the bot gives the village a rest before it looks again, so a mistake can't drain your gold.
  • Mind your troops' crop. In a village whose crop production is negative, keep some crop in the split. At 0 % the Granary empties and the troops start to starve.
  • One setup per village. A crop village can trade its surplus away while a raiding village balances its loot, each with its own trigger and split.
